Well look at it this way, if you take Barcelona or Real Madrid out of La Liga the league would be strong enough to carry on, but it would be watered down and likely not considered an elite league like it is now. I don't think the SPL is quite so strong.

Teams like Valencia, Villareal, Athletico Madrid and Deportivo La Coruña have made solid contributions to Spanish club football domestically and in Europe in recent years.
The last non-Old Firm side to win the Scottish League was an Alex Ferguson led Aberdeen in 1984-85.
That league is Rangers and Celtic. Removing one of those clubs will effectively destroy any hope of survival for Scottish League Football. They already went through several financial crises in the 2000s related to TV rights (the main source of any sports league's revenue). Killing the only internationally watched game, will effectively kill off any potential TV suitors.

For the leagues sake I hope they already signed long term deals with ESPN and Sky.

So, if I understand correctly, you would rather the SFA just give a free pass to a team which has been financially doping since 1993 than punish them because an opinion columnist in the Independent thinks everyone throughout Scotland who currently follows Rangers would boycott the Scottish game if they were actually punished?

Although a bit old, the stigma still exists (and much of it still happens):
Rangers had a black player before Celtic
that same player when he played at Celtic park had bananas thrown at him and monkey chants by the thousands don't throw stones in a glass house

Also, how is it that Rangers fans professing their love for Great Britain or Scotland worse than Parkhead covered in the Irish Republican flag? You think native Scots appreciate their homeland being rejected in favor of a migrant homeland? Sounds a bit like Mexican-Americans (most of whom were born in this country) rooting for El Tri instead of the US National Team, does it not? But aw lord, that situation is different...not really.
Lots of Celtic fans cheer for Ireland while lots of Rangers fans cheer for england but id say the % of celtic fans cheering for Ireland is much higher than rangers fans pulling for england

I don't remember the AO or Sam's Army booing Jose Torres. Also, Celtic is more pro-independent Scotland than Rangers is. Plus, Celtic does have a sizable support travel over from Eire.

we both know Rangers is viewed as more of scotlands club and celtic is the club of immigrants thats why Rangers has much more support in the country outside Glasgow

That's definitely not even remotely close to what I said, nor what I inferred. You are quite dense.
ETA: Manchester
wants to help out poor Rangers.
