I'm split on the Suarez booing thing. I realize that there are things like professional fouls, but the point sharpens with intensity at a level like the world cup, so it's not as easy to call his action 'good' or 'bad.' Ghana had a chance to equalize with a PK, but they also had a fricking goal going in to send them through. I don't care if 'every other professional' might've done the same thing. Herd mentality doesn't make an action right.

ian darke questioning the booing of luis suarez

until then he had had a perfect tournament for an announcer

bottom line, the guy cheated. other cultures must not like our culture of booing...

i just think it's going to far. sure boo him the 1st time he touches it. not every fricking time! i'm also split, but ANYONE would have done the same thing. and ian's right, if ghana scores, you never here about it again. i don't know, i like suarez, he's been fun to watch. i really hope he gets at least one goal.

No they didn't have a goal. The ball never crossed the line. Do they award baskets in the NBA when you get fouled and it doesn't go in....NO.

You get foul shots, like he got a pk. He missed. Tough shite. Suarez got booked. He missed there semi-final game. ALL RULES WERE FOLLOWED = NO CHEATING. He committed a penalty, the remedy the rules call for was followed. End of story.

Are you from Ghana or Africa? Metairie seems kind of far from there.....

He did not cheat, if he cheated, then EVERY PLAYER AT THE CUP WHO COMMITTED A PENALTY DID TOO.

Then why aren't you calling every other player a cheater, why this one?

You never answered, what African country are you a citizen of?

So this is the official game thread? Only 2 pages?

This is one of the best games of the tournament. Best third place match I have ever seen.

He didn't cheat. He did something and took the penalty for it.

Does photo evidence exist of his other picks? I would like to consider the placement of the flags as they relate to his choices.
