The only pain I feel is due weight of my Sounders carrying this league in this tournament ever since 2009.

Game over ... the Stars defeat RSL 3-1.

MLS clubs are currently 5-7 tonight. Chivas USA is up 1-0 at halftime against the Ventura County Fusion and the Earthquakes are tied 0-0 with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the first half.

I was about to post about how embarrassing tonight is for MLS, but then I realized that nobody gives a shite about the US Open Cup except for Seattle.

Well, it is what it is. Still a nice way to get into the CCL every season.

ETA: It did seem like RSL was playing a pretty strong side tonight. I guess they just didn't care.

It IS the oldest soccer competition in the US.

The Chosen Juan is on the pitch and because this camera doesn't have a zoom button, I can't enjoy his hairstyle.

Still ticked about selling the rights to the game. Hope we crush 'em.

Have a feeling WSE will be watching tomorrow night's match with steam coming out of his ears.

Go Cal FC!!!

ETA: Garza ties it at 1-1 for the Quakes in the 63rd minute.

ETA2: Chivas USA defeats the Fusion 1-0.

ETA3: And now Garza puts the Quakes up 2-1.

The way Cal ran through Kitsap in the opening round tells me they are pretty legit.

Probably will watch the USMNT game on TV, check Twitter for updates on Seattle. Really ticked. I know that Atlanta probably needed the money, but I don't like being lied to by a front office.

I live a couple of hours away from Atlanta, Silverbacks were promoting their matchup against Seattle weeks in advance. Talking about how great it would be for Atlanta's future MLS hopes. Was making plans to make the trip last Wednesday when Atlanta announced that they had sold the home field rights to the game to Seattle.

It might be better for the franchise to get that money (and I don't care at all about the Silverbacks), but I just got ticked that I got my hopes up for nothing. Would've been my best chance to see Seattle live.
