FWIW I think it ends up being a continental league (no England) as the amount of money the EPL is amassing is a threat to Euro viability of other leagues. I mean you can hate it all you want, but if you are Barcelona and Madrid are you going to sit by and watch as state run oil clubs buy up all the top tier players? Look at what PSG is offering Mbappe to stay. Sure I know thats not EPL, but PSG also represents what the ESL is looking to combat. Wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch of teams who poo-pooed the league last year all of sudden be interested this go round. Also I wouldn't underestimate the business acumen of Florentino.
