Should Bournemouth file suit

against Hawkeye? I mean, they are in the business of “goal line technology.”
To be fair, I haven’t looked at the tiebreakers between Bournemouth and Villa so it may not even be applicable.
However, if they would have stayed up, I would be filing suit to have more cash for the drop.

They have no case.
The goal/no goal decision is ultimately up to the referee as the neutral arbiter of the match. It's well-established precedent that all on-field decisions of the referee are final unless there is a specific appeal process in the EPL bylaws (for example, a red card may be appealed to a review board). To the best of my knowledge, there is no appeal process in place for a misapplied VAR or goal line technology event.
I suppose it's possible Bournemouth could appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, but CAS would likely refuse to hear the case based on the reasoning above.
