Just do what I do. Start 3 defenders and always have your sub be a defender.

We should just make the rules completely align with the FPL rules and not just partially align with them. It's just dumb. If we were playing for money I would understand not changing the rules, but we aren't. Instead of being pragmatic we are being stubborn for no good reason at all.

We can possibly do that next season, but I'm 100% against any rule changes mid season.
Posted on 10/13/12 at 12:56 pm to Jumbeauxlaya
Why? Do you actually enjoy the sub rules? And do you play the other fantasy? Playing both I can tell you that I like the regular rules better, and our rules seem pretty arbitrary.
Posted on 10/13/12 at 1:04 pm to cwil177
Consistency is key. If you change rules mid season it completely invalidates the results from every game prior to the rule change, would the change in rules have changed every result? no. Could it have made a difference in selecting your team for match day or draft day? yes.
and thus the entire season has an asterisk next to it.

I would care if we were playing for money. And I understand your arguments. But again, we are playing for nothing and not changing the rules just seems anti-pragmatic, but meh, to each their own.
