Side by side, the Gotsoccer ranking is crazy for my son’s age group (U13). Dynamo at #3? Uh, no. The Sinc rankings look spot on...for Louisiana.

Maybe it’s different once they play league instead of tournament ball.

My son’s team has zero results in GotSoccer, when they played >25 games this year. Who enters game results into the system?

Pretty much every tournament down here is run through sinc, no?

Maybe Yourh Soccer Rankings USA is a better site?

Your son's team doesn't play in the mcsl?

Some tourneys are done in got soccer. But pretty much all state associations use gotsoccer.and if you don't include those then it is meaningless.

A lot of your better teams play in tournaments in other states that do not use sinc. Gspl and rpl do not use sinc. If you want to compare teams in the state the state league is how you should do it. You can go collect rankings beating crappy teams all over the south but that's not necessarily a true representation.

They play MCSL, but there were only 3 other teams. They finished first, but it’s just seeding for State. Those results aren’t in Sinc, like you said.

MS is a far cry from LA in terms of quality clubs.

I’ve been trying to get my son some more diverse coaching, been playing Futsal over the last couple of weeks.

By the way, to prove my point in the age group you said looked good, Mandeville for u13 is ranked 1 in Sinc. They are 0-2-2 in league and in 6th place.

They won U13 State last year, I imagine they’ll get their shite together with this squad.

Not sure when they put their A-squad together, I don’t think they do it until U13...like the Fire. BRSC and Blackhawks have had their A team together for a while. Early year results could be skewed by this.

I got ya. I thought u meant the current u13. Now if you're saying dynamo at third is too high for u14 you could not be more wrong. That team is loaded. Baisally took over the csc team.

I've only seen the 06 dynamo play, we drove to Lafayette too many damn times...we played in a La league last year.

My boy’s guest played the State 05s in MS, but only Mandeville in LA.

ODP should be interesting. Playing in College Station in January.

Absolutely. Waste of time, waste of money...but what else is there to do before he starts school ball? It’s a couple of camps and two events. He’ll do it one year, if he makes the regional pool, great, if not, so be it.

But here is the LCSL rankings.
LINK
It’s the most representative of who’s the best for those in it.
If a team can’t cut it in Comp 1, they get sent down to 2.
If a team dominates Comp 2, they get moved up to Comp 1.

Is that league just to decide seeding for the state tournament?
Tournament’s in late summer?

I’ve never heard of most of those clubs in the MS GotSoccer rankings, and they don’t have any of my son’s team results.

The other club in the area plays in the NPL.
nplgulfstates.demosphere.com/schedules/2018-2019/93145549.html

My sons team plays in the MCSL, it’s another way to get to regionals.

Crazy to see teams in two leagues.

It’s the main competitive league for LA.

How they finish after Fall/Spring does determine seeding for State.

Some clubs are also in NPL Gulf States but not all.

Jesuit St Paul’s play this week.

Catholic, bro Martin, Vandebilt, Jesuit and EDWhite in round robin tourney this weekend.

Biggest surprise far has to be ESA over Vandebilt 8-0. I know ESA is good, but 8-0? Parrish is a beast.

When was that game played?

Very well could have been before football players were back.
Beginning of the season before teams are fully together have always produced some weird results.

Brothers of the Sacred Heart tourney was always one of my favorite. Especially as one of the smaller schools.

Is Ben Franklin not good anymore?

I remember that they used to have some (I think) foreign exchange students that would wreck teams.

ETA: Nevermind, I see they're ranked 10th
