I don't particularly care for it but at least the colors are a break from the usual.

San Antonio Scorpions, the now extinct NASL club, was sold by its owner to the San Antonio Spurs ownership group. Toyota Field, the club's stadium, was also sold by the former owner to the city of San Antonio and county of Bexar. No word on whether the former owner will be a part of the ownership group as a minority owner as the agreement calls for him to make no official statement on the matter. There are also rumors that Tony Parker will be a part of the ownership group at some point in the future as he has often been seen present at gatherings/meetings involving the former owner and Spurs ownership groups.

The new club is San Antonio FC and as you can see they are carrying over the Spurs colors and themes from the basketball team to the soccer club. Black and silver are the official colors with red as an accent color. The spur is also clearly present as a mark.

The owners have 6 years to secure status as an MLS expansion club or they then begin paying the city and county for the purchase cost of Toyota Field.
