Donovan is really underrated on this board. Did you guys already forget how effective he was on loan to Everton? How about his performance against Scotland?
What I really do not understand are the people who think he will be a supersub in 2014. We may have only three to five other players as good as him then and not many to replace his combination of pace, services, and finishing.

agreed, he's put in a few lackadaisical performances here and there, but he's still a top player.

True. Bradley is better than Parker, he is not better than a healthy Wilshire.
Deuce up top with Rooney in the hole would be sick. Rooney is just begging for someone right now who can make intelligent runs and finish chances for England. Welbeck is all over the place.
Also, Donovan would walk into that lineup over Milner.
