As far as Kompany, I guess you can't give RVP every award

Couldn't agree more for Pardew.
While Kompany was incredible this year, I'm not so sure about POY material. Can't complain though. He is easily the best defensive player is the PL right now.

Pardew is definitely deserving. Rogers was equally deserving this year. Paul Lambert and Arsene Wenger (if they finish 3rd) deserve a mention as well IMO.
As far as player of the year it should have definitely been RVP but I can understand why they gave it to Kompany. Without Kompany United would have won the title a month ago.
