I am definitely concerned about this. The entire tournament they have been playing JUST well enough to win. You can't do that in the quarterfinals on.

The knock on the Dutch has always been that they peak too early. They dominate group play and then seem spent in the elimination rounds. Now that they seem to be building up, it seems the criticism is why haven't they been playing better?

That, too. This seems to be the first Dutch team ever focused primarily on winning. Which is sort of a shame, I like when their first priority is to play attractive football. It's why I like the Dutch. They'd rather lose artfully than win cynically. They are the anti-Italians.
