I figured you'd be the only one that posts. I figured most people won't give a shite because of the team he plays for.

However, it was worth posting IMO.

Thanks for sharing it.

Maybe someone else will look through their hatred and salute this good deed.

EDIT: Cwil...

Sure. Plenty of athletes do nice things with their money. Has little effect how I view them on the field though.

I kind of agree. I like Drogba outside of soccer. I mean, he stopped a civil war ffs. But on the field... yeah, frick that clown.

How many people despise Lebron James? Or Craig Bellamy? Good deeds outside of sports have their merits, but they're almost expected from multi-millionaire athletes nowadays. Seems like they all have some kind of foundation or non-profit organization in their name. Nothing taken away from Vidic, but there are very few things he could do outside of the game that would make me pull for him.

Chicharito is a UNICEF ambassador, has hosted numerous charity events and is known for visiting cancer patients in the hospital. Guess we should start rooting for him.

The point is that you can you appreciate and respect what someone does off the field and still dislike him when its game time. Simple as that.

Precisely. Vidic has gotten, what, 4 red cards against Liverpool? He's also one of the most heavily carded players in the league. All I'm saying is while that's a good deed, it won't make me root for him.
