ETA: spoke too soon, 5-2 were in favor of the amendment or something, not official yet though
ETAx2: Now it is official.
And the crowd breaks out into a "We are going to MLS" chant

But Atlanta sports fans suck.
frick you. That's bullshite. Our attendance in every sport is average (except hockey...good riddance). Which means we're better than half of the teams.

Why do you hate the best sport on Earth? The thrashers just needed an owner that actually cared.

I'd rather see the conferences done away with and everyone plays each other twice.
Yep, the problem you run into is that past 22 teams or so it's just too many games.. and then how do you decide who plays at home for the teams you don't play twice?

Houston to the Western Conference!
Maybe we can get KC, too!

might as well post this here
The new Atlanta stadium in MLS mode. I can dig it. If this is the final design (for the seating bowl, at least), no way ATL doesn't get a stadium imo. Natural grass too.
ETA: only shitty thing about this design is the field level suites along both end zones

I predicted Orlando, Atlanta, Miami, and Minneapolis as the 4 teams. I think my first 3 are given but still don't know about the last.

Selfishly, I want St. Louis.
Although Indy has shown recently they could be worthy, already sold a ton of season tickets for the Indy Eleven without even playing a game. Minneapolis too.

One disadvantage that Indy has it's close to Chicago and Columbus. As well as the friendlies have done in St. Louis it seems like someone would try to start a team there.
