Cut and paste, baby, I gotcha (although my Messican is a bit rusty, and it´s changed a lot).

I have two Mexican-American friends. One's talking about his heart breaking.

It's been a while since I've had a Spanish class but I always found Mexican Spanish more tricky than Spanish Spanish .

Chicharito, for one.

I guess it comes from chicha.

I never saw peas in Mexico.

In Spain, they´re guisantes. He´d be guisantillo or guisantito (sounds bad, and close to worm, so he´d be guisantillo, which is weird).

A chicharro in Spain is a type of mackerel, and also what is vernacularly called a goal. Se te metió un chicharro.

ETA Chicha in Spanish, by the way, is baby fat, or unwanted fat. Like, a spare tire.

They called Chicharito's dad Big Pea for whatever reason, so he became little pea.

Naw, that´s what is possibly a Costa Rican, getting off, in Honduran press.

We want Messicans.

Was his dad ´chicha´, ´chicho´, ´chicharro´, what was he called?

I'm not sure. Chicharo sounds familiar.

Chícharo, probably.

To he honest, that could be old Castillan (Mexicans, more than other Latins, have a lot of old Castillian words). It could be an Andalusian word, as well.

Come to think of it, I specifically think I´ve heard my mother in law (from Segovia) say that this word was used when she was little. I may be wrong, but I really don´t think so.

ETA I´m sure of it. It was what would be called slang.

How I hate these other latinos that try to act like they are all american. But when it comes to our countries economies? They want to live in our Mexico or act like they know about Mexico and show off tourist destinations to other americans about our Mexico when it is a country that is not theirs.
