I'm shocked and outraged

How dare video evidence portray Ashley Young as a diver

Ashely Young is a diver, ain't no doubt about that. He was avoiding that tackle though and doesn't seem to complain to the ref either. So i'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.

Whether he tried to simulate a foul or not, who knows. But he knew what he was doing directly in front of the ref and won the foul.

yeh but you don't care about diving so i guess it's moot from your point of view

I say fair play honestly. I wish Suarez was half that smooth when going down. Suarez's problem (and the reason he rarely wins significant fouls) is that he makes his dives look as unnatural as possible. It's more frustrating than the actual dive.

the most frustrating thing to me is, many times, these players can keep going and are in on goal or there to link up with someone else. Goes for all of them. I have a similar attitude to you though. Diving doesn't quite piss me off as much as it does others.

The biggest reason I am indifferent to diving is what usually happens after the foul. Refs these days are horrible at playing advantage, and often times it is significantly more advantageous to go down and attempt to win a PK than stay on your feet.

The best example is Messi. He goes through so much contact and rarely goes down. But how often does it actually benefit him? Not often enough if you ask me.

Many, many times the end justifies the means when diving.

It is very similar for Suarez who relies so much on quick turns. Sometimes he is through on goal and it looks like staying on his feet will be to his advantage. Yet others, when he does decide to stay on his feet after contact, the play just goes straight to shite because he has lost his balance.

that about sums it up. i'd even go so far as to replace many, many with majority

It's whatever. I've seen Gerrard go down plenty more times than Suarez has, but nobody will ever label him a diver. I just hate the hypocritical label more than anything, especially when there are so many culprits. Phil fricking Neville even took a dive last weekend.

I used to make a big deal about Gerrard being a diver back in the day. Hasn't really been necessary to make that point lately.

Yea I don't remember many dives from him recently. Regardless, you can find diving compilations of almost any PL star on Youtube. From Gerrard to Rooney, they've all done it time and time again.

What happened? Not watching the match because of studying, but I read they scored in 20 seconds?

Clear offside goal right after kickoff. One of their guys also should have gotten his 2nd yellow for about his 8th bad foul. This to follow up that bullshite a few days ago.

But... Inter just got a penalty.

Guess you missed Ashley Young kick the ground hard with his left foot last week to get Ivan sent off. Young is a grade A bitch. At least Suarez has the excuse of growing up in a shithole bitch culture where that kind of bs is acceptable. Young is just a raging pussy.
