Best United have looked offensively all year. Probably had something to do with Kagawa, Fellaini, Valencia, Rooney, Carrick and van Persie all being in the same lineup.

Leno is a terrible goalkeeper, and Leverkusen looks weak defensively. However, they got some good performances from Son (duh) and Can.

I missed the final 20 minutes of the match. Not sure how Leverkusen got that last goal.

My CL crowns comment doesn´t mean that Manu is nothing, and Liverpool is everything.

All I was trying to say is, a little respect. They´re a storied side, and it´s not like they´ve sucked donkey balls for a full decade.

Leno is usually pretty good. Their attacking triumvirate is impressive for the most part.

Bayer were awful defensively. One of the worst defensive performances I've seen from a supposedly top side in a while. Spacing and positioning was suspect, and they gifted Man U chances.

We forced them into awkward positioning and spacing. I'll disagree with WSE on the Son part. I was looking for him to be a threat after some comments on here. He had a few shots but Evra really didn't allow him to do much, especially with little to no assistance from Kagawa as he was tucked more centrally often times.

Son is still at a point in his career where he's in and out of games. His potential is pretty off the chart.

You would think Hyypia would be a better defensive coach.

I'm trying to remember the goals and the near chances.

Bayer didn't look prepared for what Man U was trying to do. Rooney's goal and RvP's goal were really poor on Bayer's part. Miscommunication from the defenders on Rooney, and on RvP it should have been a save. That said the Kagawa-Rooney axis is infinitely better than anything involving Ashley Young. Kagawa rotating into midfield while Rooney splits wide is going to be a threatening pattern of play for you guys as long as Kagawa plays.

I wasn't impressed with Bayer defensively in general. Their midfield looks nice, and Son can work the ball into tight spaces, while Sidney Sam could be a really dangerous player if he improves his final decision.

United looked more direct than recent games, but it was the same basic SAF philosophy; spread the pitch, rotate the ball quickly enough to move it past the first line, drive towards goal and put bodies into the box. It's when Moyes tries to be meek or over tactical that Man U look toothless.

They also had a shitton of unforced errors. Not denying United played really well, but the back line for Bayer played really really poorly.

Toprak, and Saphic with Donati right and Boenisch left I think.

Oh, I know that. I just would put more stock in league titles when directly comparing two teams in the same league. And, no, I'm not just saying that because United have more league trophies than Liverpool at the moment.

No question Liverpool is a storied club and them and United are neck-and-neck in the running for tops in England. All the respect in the world to them.

Seeing as how we clearly forgot how to play without RvP up top, Wednesday isn't looking so good. We usually like to bust out the youngins' for Capital One cup but I'm curious what Moyes is going to do. Out lineups have been a lot more consistent with less rotation so far.

Pretty fun game to watch. Both sides played well.

Rooney was on point.

Both back fours played well defensively except for Enrique on that corner. Chicharito can be pretty slippery, however.

Great finish from Chicharito. When he plays for United, he scores. I feel bad for him that he doesn't get more PT but he's got some good ones in front of him.

Kagawa was absolutely miserable in the first half. He picked it up in the 2nd half and looked dangerous at times.

Smalling played excellently as did Buttner. Impressed with both of them.

Neither side was at full strength but still happy with the win.

Pretty embarrassing. I love that our supporters use flares, but that's fricking retarded.

This is a situation in which the phrase "He could've been killed out there" is appropriate.

It looks like it landed in the tunnel (I think, maybe i'm blind), luckily. I guess it's pretty easy to sneak those things in to matches. Maybe security should be beefed.

Yeah well they don't look too hard for them anymore because they aren't a part of the Englisg game anymore. Liverpool supporters use of them is kind of a throwback that the stewards haven't caught onto yet.
