He played RB for Galatasaray in their Europa game the other day, even though he and the rest of the team played like total shite.
IMO, Denayer's too slow to play fullback.

Laporte is considered to be one of the top young CB's in the world, if not the best. Like up there with Varane.
It's true. He does have a bit of a temper, though.

I realize I might be in the minority, but I don't think CB is an issue. Once they drop Demi, the play will be better. Improving LB is a big issue, Kolorav has been mind-numbingly bad this season.
I 100% believe improving the midfield positions is of far greater importance next season. We need 2-3 players that can play Peps style. If City get that, the CB play will look better. As it stands, the CBs are often put into positions that force them to choose between a bad play and a worse play.
I also think Pep's alone will help the CBs because his style won't put them in the situations they currently get into because of Pelles.
1 LB, 2 CMs, 1 pacey winger for the right. That's what I'd like.
Drop Navas, Kolorav, Toure, and Nasri/Fernando.

The only thing I've been impressed with by him this season, from what I've seen which isn't a whole lot, is that he's good on the ball. I'd be surprised if he could play on the outside as well, but who knows.

Yeah he's definitely a competitor. He's one of the few that are extremely comfortable on the ball but don't shy away from contact at all. I think that could transition well to the EPL, and if it takes time I mean he's only 21-years-old. If the news is true that would be great, but I'm trying to not jump the gun

I'd be surprised if any of the fullbacks on the roster right now are back next season. The only one I could see would be Clichy.
I think we need at least four solid CB's though. Madrid and Barca use multiple pairings in different competitions and in different situations.
(Barca) Pique, Douglas, Vermaelen, Mathieu, (Madrid) Ramos, Pepe, Varane, Nacho.
All those guys get PT at some point. I don't think we can limit ourself to only having 2-3 first team defenders if we want to make that jump.
But yea, I totally expect us to revamp the mid-field.

Nasri isn't going anywhere. He'll flourish under Pep IMO.

I mean I suppose they could sell Bony and use Augero, Nacho as the primary strikers, with Sterling + new signing as occasional depth.

If mids leave, it'll be Navas, Nando, and Yaya. Nasri is too damn versatile to let go. He can play out wide or centrally and he can play all three well. He's the most creative midfielder we have outside of Silva. PERFECT sub for this squad. Wouldn't be surprised if Bony leaves. Sterling will be our primary LM. Nasri will be our super sub.

Yeah I agree with this. Bony and Navas are almost certainly out.
I'd be really surprised if Nasri was let go. Like SRB said, his versatility is too valuable to me. He may play deeper under Pep, but I think he definitely has a spot, at least for now.
At least we know he doesn't want to leave by his hair choice. City til he dies.
He was finally back out in training yesterday, btw. Doing light stuff, but at least there hasn't been a set back or anything.......yet.

I could see Nasri staying, but I don't think it's set in stone. His absence this year has made everyone forget how positive we all were he was exiting this past Summer. He was pretty average, at best, last season. I think he could do well under Pep, but he's going to have to improve his work rate (As will Silva). At the least, he should be well rested for next season.

That's the key to his staying. On his bad days, he's alright. He's versatile as hell though. Pep will want to build a deep squad and Nasri fits that mold. Anything could happen, but I don't see Pep selling him...not next season at least.

Gotta disagree on Silva. He has been absurd this year. He hasn't been Merlin since his injury but he's still hustling his arse off. He's been tracking back and playing D all season.

It has but even then an exit made sense at the time. He was rumored to want a larger role and with Sterling and KDB coming in it made sense. Navas' poor season and our injuries made everyone realize his real value. Nasri is easy to hate, even as a City fan, but he's pretty damn good.

Typical City.

Aguero will play for a club in Argentina after the 2018 WC. Thought I read just weeks ago about how he wanted to finish his career with city?
Posted on 3/10/16 at 10:41 am to mizslu314
I remember reading that we were working on a deal to keep him through the end of his career. However, I do remember a few months ago him saying that after his current contract is up, he'd like to go back and play in Argentina.
I wouldn't have a problem with it. He's done more than enough already for the club, he's just building on his legend now. He'll work for us at some point.

I think sometimes he's guilty of telling people what they want to hear. He tells folks in England he's staying forever and folks in Argentina he's going to go back and finish with Independiente. I agree, if he want to go back and play there after his contract is up he won't owe City anything.
Posted on 3/10/16 at 10:20 pm to BlueMoon
Yup. Like two weeks ago he said he would retire at city.

After watching that match, I now understand what it feels like being a United fan under LVG.
A team full of attackers and nobody wants to take a shot.
