According to ESPN, City had 43 total shots (16 on target) earlier today. That just seemed ridiculous to me and was wondering if this is a rare occurrence or if it happens a few times every year.

I couldn't get 43 shots off in a game of FIFA if i tried.

If it were to happen against anyone, it'd be a Tony Pulis led squad. He probably employed the 9-1 formation like he did against us last month. Pulis always does this shite when he's his squad is outmatched.

Can't get away with it against Citeh though. They'll have a field day with that many opportunities.

Couldn't be a 9-1 formation. West Brom had a player sent off in the second minute

Apparently it was given to the wrong player too.

Close but not the Record
quote:

However, City’s 43 shots at goal was just one fewer than the record 44 they unleashed against QPR in May 2012, when they famously clinched the Premier League title in dramatic style with a 3-2 win.

Good thing they got off that 44th shot.

Lol yeah i woke up at 6 this morning and there was just no way so i went back to bed. I just saw that stat and was just thinking that was insane. I'm going to watch it later today and i guess i'll get to see how ridiculous it was.

From what i read there was a mistake in who was sent off, but it had to do with Bony getting fouled outside the box and the continuing with ball until he was fouled again a second time. The ref, from what i read, gave the foul outside the box but gave the red card to the man who made the second foul.
