That's Mancini...play for a draw away and hope you win at home. If you offered him a draw with no chance to win or lose and a chance to win with a chance to lose...he would take the draw everytime.

check our away and home records again. you're very mistaken. we've won more away than at home this year, easily.

Stoke loved Manchester City's performance.

exactly we're not seeing "typical city" anymore. Mancini is smart. United will slip up, we just need to be close enough to catch them when they do

Typical Citeh view through sky blue glasses. Keep playing for the tie and hope everyone else kills each other.

you left out the red card at five minutes in the last meeting.

Man City could spend another £300 million, and they still wouldn't be better than us. They represent pretty much every problem with the modern game; overly defensive, full of prima donnas, and no attacking nous at all.

Dude give me a break. I really respect your opinion on soccer, but don't give me that shite.

Should have finished our chances.

Joe Hart had a pretty great game. Without him City's 10-0-0 formation wouldn't have worked despite their wall of an effort.

There's a big difference than playing defensive football but possessing a strong counter attack, which is generally what MCFC have done this year, and playing everyone behind the ball and not even really attempting to go forward, which is what they did today. Using who was on the bench as an excuse just proves the point Mancini came to get a point. No one made him select 5 defensive subs.

You got the point, fine, but you won't win the PL this way

The goal from when mancini signed on was to make the CL.
ETA you guys seem butthurt because you didn't win. Would you have been happier if it had ended 1-1 and mancini had gone all out to get the goal?

No I mean last year's tie at Arsenal, one of the most boring games I've ever watched.

Of course it's full of hyperbole, but I don't see any attacking ability at all. They aren't even a good counter-attacking team. Plenty of teams win by being defensive, what annoys me to no end is the lack of willingness to go forward. For me that type of play is disgusting. We encounter it a lot, but I expected more out of City.

And it's doubtful that you will make that with the new financial restrictions in place.

Exactly. We have no one to blame but ourselves for hitting the woodwork so many times in the first half.

I didn't watch the match, so I can't really comment, but I will counter your argument with:

we didn't have David Silva, who really is our creator up the middle. Who's going to do that? Effing Milner or Barry?

In the end it falls on us again. Our inability to keep width in our play really affects our ability to combine in the middle third. The first 25 minutes our midfield was dominate, and should have scored. Really disappointing.

We shouldn't finish below MCFC. We have a game in hand and the easier schedule the rest of the way out.

Only consolation is that United still has a lot of big games to go and not a huge amount of depth.

But they do have a game in hand and are 4 points ahead of us.

Still, quite a while before this season ends. Frustration still battering away at us nonetheless.

That's a fair point, I suppose, but Man City played a similar game at Man Utd. Mancini doesn't like attacking as much as Hughes, which is when they were much more entertaining.
