Why oh why does Song and Denilson always refuse to take a shot? They are wide open with the ball at the edge of the box consistently and never even make an attempt to shoot

What a horrible result. Not sure what the hell Wenger was thinking letting this team ride for the full 90. 1-0 is no lead to sleep on.

I thought Song was Arsenal's motm really. Arshavin played one of his best of the season imo

He was very poor passing and moving the ball. Overall we played fairly poorly again.

A little more lively, but no one was on the same page as he was. We never got any width really, which has to change when we go back to the Emirates. Arshavin was unlucky not to get a goal, but that's the way it happens. At least we didn't lose. Maybe Ramsey can get a game in the replay.

Arshavin played well. Once again we showed a lack of creativity and fluidity without one of Fab, Wilshere or Nasri in the midfield. Depressing result...

My only retort is "we're still in it, at least." Doesn't give me much comfort though.

I know Wenger has to appease egos, but Chamakh and Bendtner playing together never seems to work. Our B squad could really use Rambo.

Playing on the surface at the Emirates will probably help significantly. Also Miquel looked decent for the most part, save for the goal, which was just a great play by Tehoue. And Almunia should never have been nutmegged from that far out. I'd rather play Chesney forever.

We might as well go to a 4-3-1-2 if we are going to play as narrow as we do when those two are on the field together. We actually need another wide player if Rosicky is Cesc's deputy. Diaby might have been useful in this game.

Overall its hella annoying we have to play another game, but we should win.

I thought he played with composure and did well in his first real playing time.

Yeah he grew into the game fairly well. He also had that lovely cross-field ball to Bendnter that was really nice.

He certainly did well overall. Classy player. Good touch, good passing. Could maybe be a squad player for us eventually. Still has a lot to learn, but he is young.

And I agree. Wenger's stubbornness in sticking Bendtner on the right doesn't do much for us. Wish we would have gone for the kill and brought on Fab and Nasri just for the last 10 mins. Alas...

And for all the talk of Cesc being a poor captain and a poor leader, our team struggles a lot more with him off the pitch.

He quickens our game in a significant way. The difference between our first team and second team is the speed of our passing.

Yeah. I think he also motivates the others when he's on the pitch. Maybe its because they know he's going to get them the ball in good positions, but we seem to play with more effort when he's on the pitch. Maybe they know Rosicky and Denilson won't and they turn it off a bit. Regardless, this season is really proving Cesc's value.

Yeah I hope he doesn't leave. With some of our most talented youths coming through, it would be perfect to have Cesc stay here until his contract runs out, to be their Bergkamp in a way.

Me too. I would only be alright with it if Rambo got back to pre-injury form and we got a boatload of cash from Barca. Doesn't look like that first part is happening anytime soon.

Also, I hope Lansbury take Denilson's spot next year.

Probably take about 9 months or so to get him back to his pre-injury level. So by the start of next season.

Yeah, I'd like to see that happen. And I'd like to see Coquelin or Frimpong come back and be Song's deputy.

I don't dislike Arsenal, they're not nearly as evil as United, Chelsea or Man City, and if anybody's going to win the league this year I'd prefer it was Arsenal, but that was a fantastic moment. Great for their fans, not to mention great for them financially.
