The logical thing to do in such a screwed up situation is to tend to far post, as normally space is 60%+. He didn't have time to come off the goal mouth, it was like a fricking penalty, just pick a side and pray.

You said he didn't have time. He went the wrong way at first then dove and barely missed it. That's all i was saying. And he had time to come out of his goal mouth too, but he's young and inexperienced so not surprising he didn't do better.

I just rewatched it. You're right, he doubted/hesitated. Yes, he's young, and nobody expects a potential situation like that to occur.
