You haven't really missed anything, outside of that Turkey friendly before the 2010 WC which got people so excited.

Gotcha, so this GC is last chance saloon for him I'm assuming.
You can bet money we will see Brek Shea tonight. I hope that fricker gets his act together, he could be on another level from these guys.

Nah. Both Bradley and Klinsmann would try to wedge him (and Kljestan) on the wing, and then be surprised when it didn't work out

Well, true, he's even played LB for us. I guess he's "usually" played CM for us would have been better.

Nah. He's only 25. Might be his last chance this cycle (barring injuries.)

Edson Buddle went SEVEN YEARS between caps, and hopped his happy arse on the plane to South Africa.

Yes, he wouldn't have traveled and trained with the team to not play. We could use him on the LM/LW.

I really think Torres struggles physically. He's listed at 5-7 ( ), he's not exceptionally fast, or exceptionally strong/stout. At that size you either need to be really fast (Beasley), really strong (Gattuso) or wildly skilled (Iniesta). Torres is none of those.

I respect his ability, I just think he gets overmatched against more talented (read: international) opponents.

I'm usually naked for the games.

Even at Finn's.

He doesn't have to be Pirlo, but I think we just freaked out a bit too much about his technical ability early on. He's ok, I'm not sure he's much more than that. Even when he's had space and time in international games he hasn't blown me away.

*reserve the right to freak out if he runs the show tonight*

Would rather see Bedoya than Castillo. I'm not much of a fan of Castillo. Also hope Holden gets a run out.

You seem to be in an exceptionally good mood today. You just love these pre cup friendlies, don't you?

I expect him to play well tonight, maybe even very well.

He's versed with the Central American style of play, and should have more skill than his opponents.

I treat myself with coffee on Fridays. Otherwise, I usually don't drink caffeine.

to be fair, even if he plays exceptionally well tonight I wouldn't have him at more than # 4 on the CM list. And that's probably generous.
