I'd say it's be pretty hard to become one of the top 10 players in any sport. There's no guarantees in athletics.

But I'd say it would be easier to produce the next Alex Morgan than the next Christian Pulisic.

The odds for a middle class suburban girl to get a sports scholarship are way higher than a likewise boy.

More college spots available in female soccer, thanks to title 9. A very good male soccer player can find a spot on a college team, but it will almost certainly be a small school.
School sports will end for most after HS. Nothing wrong with that.
