Of course you thought Michael Bradley would lead us to the quarter finals!

I didn’t. We were maybe evenly matched. We needed a miracle last minute goal to get one win in group play.

7 pm game on US soil, favored to win against Belgium to make quarters, this is the biggest game in US soccer modern history IMO.

The eyes of non-soccer fans will be all over this. It could create momentum that changes US soccer permanently for the better.

And this is a really great group of guys, not just players. Very easy to root for them.

So did Ghana, just to finish second in their group. They were not a good team.

I guess it's all relative in that I never feel confident in a knockout round format.

But Ghana is by far the weakest R16 opponent we've ever had.

1. 94 Brazil
2. 14 Belgium
3. 22 Netherlands
4. 26 Belgium
5. 02 Mexico
6. 10 Ghana

My personal thoughts are the same thing were legit said before 2014 and 2022. "If" the USA can get over that game, they will be good at the sport.

This is legit the first time I think the US is good enough to be a top 10 teams. We outplayed Germany in the last friendly, and have looked pretty good thus far. Bosnia slowed the game down, but Belgium is a soccer "power" so they will want to show they are better. In 2014 and 2022 the US was a sizeable underdog and for good reason. I still think Belgium has more talent overall, but the US is close
