Fans rushing the field during game a thing for Messi?

Happened to Cristiano Ronaldo last week at the Euros.

The guy came from the stands on the opposite side of where Messi was standing. The guy jogged across the field, got Messi to sign his jersey and then bowed at his feet. After ALL OF THAT one security guy was very close to him and he took off (end of the video you linked). For some reason while he was running away he took off his shirt, slowed down and let security catch up to him.

Security did a much better job after the game catching about three kids before they could get anywhere near the players.


I went with my wife to one of the Rodeo nights last year at NRG and a lady was able to run up to Brad Paisley, hug him and run back to her seat before security could get close to her

ETA: I actually started videoing around the time the video you linked stops.

It's not that exciting really, but I'll post it whenever I get home.

I thought he was going to surrender after his interaction with Messi. He just kind of stands there for a few moments, then runs away. I only saw a handful of security waddling after him. He could have made it a lot longer. Very surprised at the lack of security.

I doubt he would have got far after going over field barrier (ad boards). I see lots of pink shirts on the other side.
