Atlanta United has been huge for MLS and we get Nashville in 2020. This year we have Nashville, Memphis, Birmingham, Charleston, Charlotte, ATL2, and Louisville in the USL Championship. The new League One will have Chattanooga, Greenville SC, and Tormenta in Statesboro, GA. Where else could they go? I wished Knoxville would get a USL League One club so maybe we could have some sort of Tennessee preseason tournament with 4 pro clubs. I think NOLA would be a good market for the USL Championship. I think a Nashville MLS 2 side would work well in Murfreesboro. Huntsville could work with League One I think.

I think they have looked at Huntsville, Montgomery, and Mobile as potential League One locations.

Yeah I remember seeing reports of them going there. I think Huntsville would work best converting the old baseball park to soccer. Plus out of all the 3 Huntsville seems to be the only city that's growing.

The Armada did really well in the minor baseball stadium downtown in Jacksonville until everyone realized the team was god awful. The NASL completely falling apart led to the first owner selling the team and now they’re stuck on UNF’s campus at Hodges Stadium. Hodges is actually bigger but the atmosphere is horrible: it’s mostly open and there’s a track. If someone could scam the city into building a SSS in a good location (way easier said than done) I bet a team would do well here since we’ve had big crowds for USMNT games and our minor league teams are usually well supported. Even the Jags probably do okay historically if you adjust for market size.

Jeez I didn’t know the old Stars’ park had been left empty for so long
