I'd be interested if he could explain what it's like for the German-Americans on the squad. Do they mostly socialize with each other or with the entire squad? Is there resentment from some of the American players? Did he always want to play on US teams? And what is going on with Chandler?
Also, the transition from being an amateur (basically) to now starring for a top Austrian team in a matter of months.

I plan on asking him the first one as a lead-up question. I know most of them speak at least semi-fluent English. Steve Cherundolo, who speaks German better than Podolski, has done some of the translations in the past

Probably won't go here. I know Boyd and Jozy are pals now, so I don't even think it's an issue unless your name is Preston Zimmerman.

Are you going to interview him through Skype?
Also, I read an interview that one of the Turkish papers did with Alex de Souza earlier this week. They asked questions like who is the smartest/dumbest player you played with, who is the biggest show-off with his cash/cheapest, who is the funniest, who is the most well-liked/least liked, etc
It was pretty entertaining for me since I knew all the guys he was referring to. Might be worth trying it with Boyd, even though he's only been in a few NT camps.

Yeah I like more pop culture oriented questions. Boyd's instagram pictures are sometimes entertaining. I think he spent all of his USMNT per diem money on snapback hats.
