DOUBLE UPDATE Diego Costa would welcome Spain call, NOW Baptistao

Costa is for now, La Liga´s Pichichi (leading goal scorer), and has always professed his love for La Selección.
I know Del Bosque´s still trying to figure out what to do with Isco, Javi, Iker, but the patent need for bucking up by Llorente leaves the 9 position wide open.
Negredo and Soldado are both fantastic, but not on his level.
Will Del Bosque pull the trigger? Will Costa accept (it´s not like Brazil has shunned him)?

It is kind of amazing that Spain do not have a bona fide 9. They go 20398504385 deep in the midfield.

El Guaje´s consideration is to take into account, but David Villa was never the force that Quini was.
Oddly enough, both came from Sporting de Gijón.

Can't imagine that they'd do that after Ronaldinho's experience with Barcelona's nightlife. I'll withhold judgment until they catch Adriano at the border.

Costa does look old, but I don´t think it´s the partying, I really don´t .
He is hellbent on being a superstar. Hellbent. An obsession.
ETA Don´t think I consider Madrid superior to Barcelona as a city, it´s not. It´s simply much bigger and more rife with many ´virtues´ of the not recommendable kind. Barcelona is a fandamnedtastic city.

It seems his teammate, Leo Baptistao (another Brasilian, but one who openly professes that he´s for all effects and purposes a Spaniard, as Spain has fully developed him as a footballer), may be called up for the U21, as well.

It's strange that Brazil doesn't seem too keen on preventing Costa from leaving its player pool. If there's one weaker spot in its ranks, it's at center-forward. Despite his decent showing at the Confederations Cup, I can't see too many Selecao supporters being thrilled at the prospects of Fred leading the line at their World Cup, following the exploits of Ronaldo, Romario, Pele, hell Luis Adriano etc.

Brasil is a strange place, in general. In a good way, many times. They´re quirky.
Expect them to block the Costa thing.
As for Baptistao, he´s pretty much a Spaniard, he´s been in Spain since his early teens, and I see him happily being capped.
