It's gonna be a long, hard run in.
I don't think big Sam would be interested. He'd have to adopt the head coach role and defer a lot of recruitment to Congerton... Although a lot of our "recruitment" obviously had Poyet 's hand all over it. Coates instead of micah Richards, nacho, and the never ending pursuit of Marcos alonso and Borini when it was obvious they weren't coming.
Gus bitches ALOT about more players not coming in and to a strong extent he was correct. The team is very very thin but after the big spends and swelling rosters the last few summers the priority this year was always unloading the surplus of crap.
Gus had started building something but the southhampton debacle ruined him. He's essentially throwing shite at the wall hoping stuck ever since.
