Atlético disposes of Valencia, and giant killer Racing de Santander takes down yet another Primera División side (Almería, they took down Sevilla last month).

They´ve always been financially shaky, and probably sold Canales to RM for a song (like back with Iván Helguera). Racing has always been a feeder club for RM (the famous Paco Gento came from here as well).
I think they were relegated the year Canales was transferred, and the downward spiral just continued. They may have received less than normal from the autonomous government of Cantabria, and the city of Santander, as well.
