Efrain Alvarez starts for Mexico.

Busio has an early shot on goal from the top of the box he maybe should have put away.

Mexican fans out in force and outnumbering American fans by a large margin.

Yelling puto, obviously, at 16 year old kids.

Careless Busio giveaway leads to a Mexico shot on goal that is parried out for a corner.

US doing a decent job of moving the ball around and maintaining possession

USA 1-0, 10'. Corner kick gets recycled back out to the right corner for Reyna to send in another ball. Busio heads it to the back post, Grey centers it, and Yow heads it in.

Knock on wood, but the US looks like the better team by a wide margin.

I think our U17 and U20 teams are just better than Mexico's at this point.

Beautiful sequence between Gio and Busio that leads to a deflected shot that leads to a corner.

65-35 is the possession in USA's favor.

Yow crosses to Busio at the top of the box, he hits it on the volley, forcing a decent save.

Reyna looks like a man amongst boys.

The only Mexican player who looks like he's on the same level as our kids right now is their #10 Luna.

He needs to learn to play a lot quicker.

Mexico scores against the run of play. Busio gets turned in the midfield and a ball over the top of the centerback finds the Mexican forward who heads it past the keeper.

1-1

Dortmund will fix that.

Apparently this Mexican team has played together a lot since the U15 team

Our passing between the lines out of the back has been impressive. Our layoffs in the final 1/3 have been a let down.

More beautiful interplay between Busio and Reyna down the left results in a shot from Busio that careens off the post.

Mexico is just booting balls downfield and clearing aimlessly .

Busio makes a nice run into the box, controls possession, shoots from a tough angle and hits the post again.

The connection between the midfield and forward is lacking.
