Buying a personalized jersey - quality of name and number printing?

pay the extra $8 or whatever and get the authentic numbers and lettering, its worth it imo. Yes the quality of the jerseys is awesome. they arent as thick as a saints jersey material (it will probably be like dri-fit)

Thanks - not sure I see an option for that. But if I'm selecting the jersey for that particular player already pre-filled out, I'm hoping thats the case. Will probably email them ahead and make sure.

Where are you located?

Third Coast Soccer does printing for me. What you see there is what you'll get from World Soccer Shop. Similar prices, as well.

Patches vary by club/country. EPL patches will be heat pressed Lextra (usually).



Back numbering is either Lextra (Lextra is the "fuzzy" stuff) or heat pressed plastic, again depending on manufacturer. Most EPL shirts are Lextra, most national teams use the rubberized plastics. Either will be heat pressed, not sewn.

Either is more durable than the crappy printing used on NFL replica jerseys.

Lextra looks a little better (I think), but is a little less durable than the rubberized plastic. Taking proper care of the jersey is the best way to extend the life. Wash as infrequently as possible (if you wear it to the movies, in January.... don't wash the damn thing, just hang it back up!). When you do wash, ALWAYS wash inside out, cold water, low heat dry.

Like I said, if you've got a Third Coast nearby, what you'll see there is what you'll get from WSS. You'll be able to get a much better idea if you go and put your hands on the stuff.

I find that if you wear an under-shirt, you hardly ever have to wash the jersey. I have several shirts that I have never washed, because there simply has not been a need to.

ETA: I tend to not wear them very often though. Only out to watch a match, or for a few hours on matchday. I don't wear them out very much.

They've always done GREAT stuff for me, and are fair on price.
