Is there just some rule that Ronaldo and Messi can't win anymore because they are so much better than everyone else?

He was the best player in Europe last year. Quit looking at stats and watch games. This is a player of the year award, not a career achievement. You're always the one talking about how La Liga inflates stats, but then you take them as gospel.

La Liga sucks because there is no competition. Ronaldo and Messi are still the best by some distance.

Ribery's last 2.5 years have been incredible. He's not going to score 40 goals because he's more of a traditional winger/Bayern doesn't play like that. You have to watch games to appreciate how good he has been.

When there was chatter about Ribery possibly heading to Chelsea I loved it. He is a VERY good player and well deserving of the award. But we are going to rape him tomorrow. What channel is the game on?
