WWE star Bad News Barrett has threatened to batter Roy Keane after the former Manchester United skipper blasted Wayne Rooney.

Keane, 44, accused England ace Rooney of being “awful” in the club’s 0-0 draw with PSV Eindhoven and said the Old Trafford captain is failing to lead by example.

Tough-talking Keane also slammed Rooney, 30, for appearing in the ring at a wrestling event earlier this month alongside Barrett.

Barrett, whose real name is Stuart Bennett, took to Twitter to hit back at the Irishman’s rant.

He tweeted: “If Roy Keane’s looking for a piece, I’ll batter him too.”

Rooney slapped Barrett — who wrestles in America but comes from Preston, Lancs— during a Raw event at Manchester Arena on November 9.

The England captain was sat in the front row with his son Kai, six, when Barrett grabbed the mic and said: “In this ring are two men who can be easily be described as championship material.

“Which is, of course, more than can be said of Wayne Rooney and Manchester United.”
