I'm going to organize a posse to kidnap all Arsenal players before the next international break, lock them up at a spa resort, and release them at the end of the break. Who is with me?

It seems like all of our players have actually done quite well during their friendlies or qualifiers. I hope the ones that return healthy bring back some confidence with them. Hearing that Mertesacker is getting the start for Germany today. /prayers sent/

I will breakdown like a 14 year old girl after she is dumped by her "true love" if Per is injured.

Beowulf has a brace for Denmark against Norway and it's only halftime.

So Bartley needs knee surgery and Samir Nasri broke his hand.

Good to see our injury curse plagues those on loan and those sold.

Jack's hands will never be broken because he's the biggest Christf@g playing the game. Well, perhaps one step behind Kaka: LINK

I think you need to loan him to Celtic.

if RvP is going to drop deep to receive the ball, I don't see too much of a problem with Theo playing central. But as the article notes he doesn't do well with 1v1s. But if AOC and Gervinho work the wings then I agree this is plausible:

quote:

Let's be clear here. We are not talking of Walcott as an out-and-out striker in the Michael Owen role, more a link forward that can score goals, set them up and use his pace to encourage defenders to drop deep, therefore creating space for others.

I'd rather Theo play apart of a fluid front three. I don't see a situation where he plays as a second striker off a target man. But its true he isn't a winger. A fluid front three is the only way we are going to score goals this year. It works perfectly when Gervinho, Theo and RvP interchange throughout the game like in the Udinese game. If we remain static in any way we are going to struggle.

I'm glad we're starting out with a promoted side. Hopefully we'll be able to build some confidence before we have any important games. I wonder why Gervinho and Song aren't being included in the squad sheets? They must be resting from internationals or something. It's going to be fun watching Manchester United struggle all season with such a young squad.
