I'll never forget that Wigan game . We'll see with delph. He's always shown flashes, but he needs to stay healthy and develop some consistency. El Ahmadi is a glaring weak spot for us though.

I do hope though that when Benteke does leave Arsenal make a genuine attempt to sign him. He'd be the perfect striker in your system, his ability to play with the ball at his feet and hold it up/ lay it off with back to goal is really special and I think most people underrate his contributions to our team. Not sure Weimann would get in Arsenals team, he's naturally a forward but has really adapted well to his right wing role in our counter attacking system. I haven't been this excited about our attack since 2009 with Ashley Young - John Carew - Gabby. Helenius will turn some heads this season as well.

totally agree re: arteta

if Wednesday's match wasn't of the utmost importance, I'd be pretty psyched about zelalem making the bench.

according to the Times, just last week Arsene was telling a senior executive at another BPL club that he didn't understand the agitation for him to buy and that he felt at ease with the players he had, thought we could compete for titles.

unless that was in a negotiation, that is absolutely wild and terrifying.

Poisonous atmosphere around the Emirates and north London.

Hate to see it, but can certainly understand it.

Supposedly he was their starter until being injured and then when he came back they did some odd split of duties. 24 to 14 matches

the hits keep on coming, and this is scandalous if true. alleges that Southampton get £10k every time the Ox plays over 20 minutes and shows AW's sub pattern with him...

We have never needed to buy a lot. But we needed 2 or 3 players from the beginning of the summer. I don't understand how Wenger thought we could make the season with less than 20 first team players. We've used 20 plus each year for as long as I remember.
So is Ox out for the season for sure?

After reading that article I'm beginning to wonder whether Wenger is the one to lead us into the era of our big spending. He's clearly too frugal at times, like with Mata the best example.

Perfect example. It is actually difficult to be a fan of Arsenal.

he's just so entrenched in every facet of the club, a complete reset seems like it's needed. we're tumbling when the club should be exploding forward.

though I'm sure if he left, he'd go somewhere else and just coach and fricking dominate with a huge budget and someone else picking out top talent for him.

guaita is apparently using us for leverage with his club because he feels like he should be starting over Diego Alves.
