He did look the part before Shawcross broke his leg.
And even after. He played too much last year because of injuries to others. Like I said, Speed's suicide fricked him in the head. He is a really good talent and still young. After what he has been through I will wear the jersey with pride.

I think there's a point at which Ganso becomes worth the risk financially, but none of the prices I've seen are in that range. Santos want £5mil out of it, and I think they only own 45% of him.

Precisely.

I seen to recall we had a well respected Brazilian scout who recently retired or took another job. I'd imagine we have a pretty good scouting report on Ganso. Will be interesting to see if Arsene rated him high enough to take the plunge. As you said crazy, the Olympics will be a good place to see where he's at.
Also, I have a hard time believing that article when it talks about Ganso being immediate help.probably nothing to it.

Honestly, if we were to go with a talented Brazilian playmaker, I'd rather Hernanes. He plays a little deeper, but he's already established in Europe, and I wouldn't think a work permit would be a problem. He's a little older, which would allow us to continue the development of our younger midfielders.

Lansbury nets the only goal in our first preseason victory over Anderlecht in Southampton.

£10 mil for Ganso is good value

Not coming off of 2 serious knee injuries, his poor run of form, and his inability to deal with ball pressure up to this point in his career.

I'd take Ganso for £10 million in a heart beat. As I said on here before, he's as skillful as his buddy Neymar, with infinitely less of the "get fat on McDonalds', strung out on blow, and caught with trannies" risk that pervades Brazilians.
Although today Fleet Street is reporting a £30 million dollar bid from Arsenal for the player.
"£30 million on a player...."

I'm going to go on record that he will have at least 10 goals and 10 assists this season.

Season is interrupted by the ACN again. If we get that type of return that will be amazing.

Sometimes the bookie sites will just put up ridiculous transfer odds to entices some schmucks into throwing a bunch of money on what looks to be an almost completed transfer.
