Are the Brazilians crazy: Sao Paulo turns down 32m Pound bid from Chelsea.

I don't care how good the kid is, he isn't worth 32 millions pounds, especially while he's playing in Brazil.

Why accept now? He's 19 and his value will only increase. They know Chelsea or RM will pay 50M for him.

I've read the price was as low as 20 and as high as 40. Either way they are fricking nuts. We're talking about a 19 year old who has never played in Europe. He's an outstanding player but if the price is going to be lower than Hazard it's a no brainer.

SPFC's president said Inter offered 20m and Chelsea 32m.
I somewhat admire the brazlians for keeping their stars home.
With the amount of homegrown talent, and a developing economy. Their league is poised to become truly elite.
Honestly, I'd already put it on par with the French league.

It makes sense to me. A lot of the stars want to stay in brazil till they're 21 anyway. The owners know that if the market pattern continues, they'll be able to sell them for ungodly amounts in a few transfer windows.

I read an article a couple of months ago that brazilian players arent making the move to Europe because the Defensive back 4 in Brazil tend to stay closer to their goal affording a lot of midfield space to showcase their tricks and stuff... ill try to find it

They don't have to accept an offer even if it meets their valuation unless the player negotiated a release clause. This is their right as the player is under contract, I don't see the problem.
If Chelsea want him bad enough they have to make an offer that Sao paulo can't refuse

No problem at all, I just think they're being dumb refusing a 32 million pound offer.

Another thing to consider is that many of the big Brazilian teams are renegotiating their TV contracts independently. Having star players is pretty important to their model at the moment.

Not being to compete in the premier club tournament with the massive revenues from playing in UEFA hurts big time.
However, there is obviously enough talent in South America to get a very good league in Brasil.

No one is going to pay that price and he doesn't want to leave Brazil.
He is a freaking badass though. I wish these kids like Lucas, Neymar, and Ganso would pull their heads out of their asses and realize that they're not doing themselves any favors by staying in Brazil. They need to be developing in Europe.

Why are their heads up their asses...neymar is making close to two million a month in wages and sponsors in Brazil....

I disagree. They are ensured time on the national team if they stay in Brazil. The truth is that European teams need them more than they need European teams.
