Always heard or participated in football pools.

Apparently they are a huge thing in other countries for soccer.

Basically a 10 square pool.

Pays on total number of goals.

Works this way:

10 squares
If you end up with a 5,6,7,8,or,9 you get your square money back because it is unlikely that you win but you are a in the pot.

Pool pays at either end of half or end of match.

There are lots of twists and turns of ways pools can be played like American Football. I would have never imagined this was a thing. I thought “Football” pools was an American thing.

??

Also, as much as I enjoy a bet, soccer is one of those games where I prefer to watch as a neutral and to just enjoy it for what it is.

Let me try to simplify. It took me a few minutes to get my head around it.

10 squares.
$10 per square = $100
After numbers are picked half the total money is given back to “bad numbers”.
Total pool is $50.
Winner gets $50 based on the end number of total goals.
