And I see you that you think Briarwood played good soccer? Really? you call one offensive play and a foul a minute good soccer? As soon as they played a good team with proper refs they were destroyed 5-1 by little ole Randolph.
That our Refs think that is quality soccer shows how fricked up bama is

No? Just stating that they were noticeably better than the best Montgomery has to offer, and this area tends to be comparable with the best of the rest of south Alabama.
Didn't help Briarwood against Randolph when Briarwood lost one of their best players to injury in the 1st half of their 2nd round game.

Were these the good refs, or the ones that you thought they found in the parking lot?

If you've been following AUFC fandom Twitter, he sounds like Alpharetta Dad.

Alpharetta Dad refuses to let kid put name on back of jersey, reminds kid constantly to play for the name on the front not the back, kid unsure of why he needs to play for the pizza place sponsoring his coed rec soccer team but willing to go with it.
“Expected goals? Ridiculous idea. Never expect a goal, always follow your shot so you can pick up the rebound.” -Alpharetta Dad

My favorite one from this past week was how someone tweeted that Alpharetta Dad felt like Gressel betrayed him when he tried that spin down the wing.

They were the refs that Randolph wanted I assume like always. I predicted they would win by 4 or 5 goals in a very tightly called game as they were smallest 5A team in the finals, and a physical matchup would be trouble for them.
Too bad sports betting not up and running in Mississippi yet.

Just yanking your chain, but I gave complete video of probably 60 games and the variability in officiating is a problem. Randolph is best team and now will be made to suffer for by going to 6A if that is a punishment. I assume Briarwood, and St Paul’s are all going to 6A too.
What changes would you, as a young ref, ( I played, coached and called games probably before you were born and that was only to stay in shape for football and because no one else would do it so I am way out of it.)
What can be done to get more qualified officials to ref?
What can be done to better protect goalies and players from concussions. ( I cringed every time I saw to gets trying to head the same ball. After you see the blood and bone explode and splash all over the field once that’s enough)
What would you recommend to eliminate the perception of bias? Mobile clubs and schools feel they get screwed in Birmingham, and vice versa.
What would suggest can be done to educate fans better in what an actual foul is?
I personally like it when the refs take time explain to kids what they did wrong and warn kids before throwing yellow cards, but too often that first yellow card is after the ref has already or is beginning to lose control of the game. I have seen the older refs just call a time out just to settle everyone down. It seems like a good idea to me.
And you are right, too much talking back and trash talking going on during games. We actually had a group a women and little kids flipped off and told to “go frick ourselves” In a playoff game at a “ Christian school@ two years ago. All on film, nothing happened. In football he would be gone and we both know it. I would love to see red cards early in the season just to stop this crap.
So what are the problems you see Briarwood boy? Lol

What? Did they suddenly get an influx of students? This isn't pro/rel.

Make them be USSF certified, but there probably wouldn't be enough refs to cover every game. Offer better pay. We only get $10 for being a center instead of AR. Why would I want to do a varsity center if I will make the same amount doing a JV center and varsity AR?

Ban headers? That's the only way.

Tell the people that feel that way to stop being retarded.

Make them attend a USSF certification class.

I have nothing to do with Briarwood. Didn't know they existed until a few weeks ago.

Thanks. I think a video explaining basic rules to fans would help.
New Alabama rules for private schools, 6 or 8 pts and you move up a classification in any and all sports. You get x number of points per finals appearance, x for championship, x for making playoffs etc. They put boys and girls together for soccer.
