1. Carlos Bocanegra

LINK

Carlos was the only person of the 42 on the ballot to get enough votes.

I get that's she's crazy but Solo is objectively one of the female GK GOATs. No matter the sport, HoF voters are unrivaled in pettiness.

Cherundolo not getting love by the National HoF makes some sense - defender and his entire club career was in Germany.

No, it doesn't. 80+ caps for the USMNT (21st most capped American), our greatest RB of all time, went to 3 World Cups.

Only 2 active players have more than 64 caps and both of those are likely hall of famers themselves.

Every single eligible player with more caps than Cherundolo has been inducted.

To be clear I am not arguing against his merits. He should be a no-brainer.

I just don't find it surprising that a non-mid/forward who has been exclusively international the entirety of his club (and coaching) career would be snubbed by the same voting body that had 20% of its voters leave off the leading goal-scorer in the history of women's international football (Wambach).
