Sky Sports News has been told that Liverpool are not interested in signing Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez, as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho.
Reports have suggested the Algerian is close to a move, but we’ve been told that there has been no contact between Leicester and Liverpool.

Greek club Olympiakos have agreed a deal to re-sign Everton forward Kevin Mirallas.
The Belgian, 30, joined the Toffees from Olympiakos in 2012 for £6m and has played 186 games for the club, scoring 38 goals.
However, he has only made five Premier League appearances for Everton this season, three of them as a substitute.

will be a significantly better side if they reinvest this money. They just profited £130 million on Coutinho. Not sure how you're laughing at them for this.
The last time they lost a star to Barca they reinvested horribly. It will likely happen again.
Balotelli - Bust
Lambert - bust
Markovic - bust
Moreno - hit, but more because he was somewhat cheap
Can - LOL
Origi - bust
Lallana - good transfer
Lovren - bust

Fair point, but transfers under Klopp have been significantly better than Rodgers

That is a good point as well.
Klopp has been much smarter and I think less rash to act in the market.

Everyone should have known Origi would be a bust. Or that it was highly likely.
At Lille a huge amount of his goals were penalties. Not that he scored many to begin with, but none was from the run of play basically.

One of our most reliable journos made the good point that he’s already shown he likes his top targets and if it doesn’t work out right away, he’s willing to wait (Keita and VVD)

quote:Also to be fair to him, he’s still 22. One of his biggest problems was he also never seemed to gel linking up with any of our other forwards or wingers which was a big problem considering Coutinho, Firmino, and Mané all seemed to be on the same page so often. Meanwhile Divock is trying back heels to no one or showing for the ball when he should be making a run in behind
Origi

Yea Liverpool blew that money

Pretty sure Liverpool fans on here weee saying he was better than Lukaku and Martial a few years ago

We're talking about Rodgers vs Klopp. Also, Suarez was FAR more important to Liverpool than Coutinho is right now.
Not saying they'll necessarily buy great, but they won't be as hurt, even if they buy duds.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think Mahrez is a guy who will make Liverpool all that better.
Posted on 1/6/18 at 9:18 pm to McCaigBro69
Same especially with how selfish he can be at times
Posted on 1/6/18 at 9:22 pm to StraightCashHomey21
He's wanted out of Leicester pretty much since the day they won the Prem. We'll see.

Y'all are crazy. Mahrez oozes quality.
SCH, your club almost spent 50 million on Perisic.

IIRC Perisic turned them down or they would have

Mahrez is a good player, but doesn’t he primarily play on the right? Isn’t that where Salah typically plays and Firmino through the middle?
Mahrez is a class player, I just don’t think he makes Liverpool much better than what they already have.

It's not as if all of these guys left on a free though. They did miss on the majority of the signings nonetheless.
