When you are playing on average 2 games a week, it can't hurt.

I guess i figured Rooney would automatically become your leading striker and starter and mata could fill the roll that rooney didn't want to fill at united. win win for both clubs.

Can you remind me of the last time two players were traded straight up for each other?

Also, Mata is worth more than Wayne imo.

I'm convinced that Jose has no real intent to sign Rooney. He's trying to frick up David Moyes and United's collective heads and it's working. The master of head games retired last season and Jose is the master now. So far this season United and Tottenham know that pretty well.

You serious? Mou has been all in up Alex's head for years. Jose is on another level.

What does this even mean? Just b/c you or I can't recall doesn't mean it can't happen.l

edit: let me clarify. we (united) have gone after several unattainable targets this year and i believe this is another one. i'm not sure of our MO at the moment.

Nah.

I'm convinced he does want him. He'd instantly start.

I think he wants him but I also thinks he realizes it isn't going to happen.

I think that's probably correct.

Moyes trying to get a cover for when he doesn't become SAF 2.0 this season. He can blame a poor season (or two) on not getting his "targets," even though he was never going to get those targets.

Hm, the Mata/Rooney swap would be interesting. It would probably be a great move for both sides. Playing Mata on the wing just isn't worth it for CFC, and Rooney would probably have a bigger and better impact on their season.

But this Willian deal makes no sense to me.

Makes perfect sense in a Mourinho side.

Willian is creative, direct and pacey. He's a good inverted wide player, another trait Mou fancies.

Chelsea really does have an incredibly balanced attack that should be able to break down literally any side.

Hazard, Moses, WIllian and Schurrle are all incredibly direct players who possess pace and like to take on their man.

Oscar, de Bruyne and Mata are all more patient, creative players.

Oscar will be the most important Chelsea player in the new Mourinho era imo. I think Mata will eventually be sold next summer after Mourinho phases him out this season. I have a feeling he will put Oscar in the middle, with Mata on the right. He will show Chelsea fans how much more dynamic Oscar is, and how well the team can perform even without Mata. Of course whatever decision he makes will be the right one. Bit of a count, but a superb manager.

Rumors of a Bradley to Sunderland deal in the works.

Roma is said to want 10-12 million Euros and Sunderland have offered 6-7 million pounds.

Interesting , 11 pagers on Sunderlands Pure Football site.

They have translated an Italian newspapper ....

Luis Suárez may still end up in Madrid.

Mesut Özil may just pay for the lion´s share of Suárez´s fee. He´s apparently jealous of Bale´s remuneration, and is rumoured to be ´forcing his exit ´ from Real.

Bale´s signing will be announced tomorrow or Monday, probably for €90M.
