One of the most surprising elements of the game to me was the irrelevance of The Honey Badger. I kept waiting for him to make a play, but it never happened. Also, I think he was exposed for his weakness in coverage. What the Bama defense did was truly special and is one of the top 3 greatest defensive performances of all-time. It was truly remarkable to watch... LSU will be back in 2012-13. No doubt.

He made a lot of key tackles, played a decent game. Even that long pass on him was good coverage, just a beautiful pass from the Alabama QB.

I thought he actually played a lot better last night than he did 11/05.

He made some nice stops and McCarron threw some beautiful balls on him. He made a lot of nice tackles. Ya'll made sure not to put a good punt to him on the few times ya'll did punt (short punt and out of bounds from the 2 I remember.) He did a decent job for the amount of time our D was required to play considering how inept our O was against that D.

It was a great performance, no doubt. But, it was going up against the worst BCSCG QB ever.

WVU put what 400 yards on them passing. That should have shown you that they can be beat in the air.

Claiborne = real deal.

Mathieu = size mismatch.

Listening to McElwain in the postgame last night, he said that Matheiu was a great ball player, great at attacking the ball and flying all over the field. But he said watching film, they thought his weakness was in coverage due to his size. And that's why they attacked him and put big receivers on him and TE's. You can make up alot with heart, but size is always hard to make up. He said they wanted to make him run downfield with his back to the line and force him to try to make plays against tall receivers.

It had nothing to do with HB not playing his usual game. Bama's passes were picture perfect over the receivers shoulder on the side line, you can't defend that. Bama obviously was determined to have no strips and they didn't. Great game to Bama.

Typical Bammer putting up the stats. Give 'em credit. They did finally cross midfield with 8 minutes to go in the 4th.

His best "stop" was pass interference. He missed the tackle on the fake FG. Honey Badger don't care and he don't cover either.
