I was surprised it was not an INT FWIW.

What are their thoughts on the bad spot which led to a safety?

secfan413: your post probably is exactly what the replay officials decided. i think they probably should have been bolder, however. i think most observers would agree it was a catch.

would lsu have scored? who knows. Lee didn't show me much.

ultimately alabama was better, though this call erased any chance lsu would have had.... just like in oct: lsu was clearly better than uga but the call on aj changed the complexion of the last 2 min of the game. both games had a reasonable chance for different outcomes if the refs had done the right thing.

If only you guys could have stopped Julio from scoring the go ahead TD. Or not allowed McElroy to throw for 270+ yards and 2 TDs. Or not allowed Ingram to rush for 130+ yards. If only.

WTF? We didn't do this, but WE WERE STILL IN THIS GAME. Even after all that you guys couldn't put it away. We hung around, despite of all of that, until the refs took it out of our hands.

And after the UGA game LSU has NO room to talk about the officials.

Did you watch that game? That game wasn't even close with BLATANT bad calls on both!

Just curious. Lot's of LSU fans are stressing that he got two feet in. I thought in college you only had to get one foot in. If it's two feet now, when did it change.

It looked like an obvious INT to me. The ball was not tucked but he had complete control of it. However, if the rule is two feet, then it is debatable. Second foot was definitely not conclusive

My favorite part of the whole thing was Gary Danielson claiming he saw dirt fly up on the toe drag, as if that should've removed all doubt.

I cannot wait until Gary chokes on his own tongue and can longer call games. He is the only thing worse than the officiating right now.

i think trying to justify a bad call by saying bama would've stopped them anyways is rediculous. and yes, it was a terrible call.

Here is Sports Illustrated's take

Good Lord, there are players, coaches, refs, media and band members all over that field. There is no way that that mark could be validated. It could have been anybody's.

When has college football become tennis. They don't review marks on the field.
