Should a player be required to be consistently good and occasionally great, or should a player be required to be occasionally great with several games of no impact?

Discuss...

I'd say you should be great in your biggest tests.

I dunno, TM7 has showed that he is great on defense AND ST.

You just don't know when he's going to break out and make a big play. Dude is gooooooooooooooood

I think of it as the most important player in college football. The one that has had the biggest impact on his team and their wins. TM7

So LSU would be just OK without TM7?

I don't honk TM should necessarily win it but an invite is in order. The dude has transformed so many games.

But he hasn't. LSU would likely still be undefeated without him...

Should a defensive player have to score a touchdown every game? You see, on defense, the offense can decide to run/throw the ball away from you. And I know it's hard for Bammers to understand this, but stats don't show the impact a player like Mathieu has in the game. Go back and watch the LSU/Bama game. Stats would say that Mathieu didn't do much. But he did lead LSU in tackles. And he did force two sacks by blitzing and having the qb run away from him allowing his teammates to gain the sack. One of those being Bama's last offensive play.

So my vote goes to Tyran Mathieu.

Should a player be required to

lead his team to one lonely touchdown in his team's biggest game of the season? If so, then I know one running back that can be eliminated.
