You can’t tell me every single dollar of DoD spending is done as efficiently as possible.

I am all for streamlining and cutting ALL government spending but that means ALL and nothing is off the table....

The problem is, as it always has been, you will get DOD cuts but you will not see entitlement cuts...

If you want to open the doors to cutting entitlements you have to be willing to streamline some military funding. You ain’t gonna get one without the other and they both need it desperately.

Pahleez

We could ELIMINATE the military and Democrats wouldn't give up ONE DOLLAR of entitlements.

Hell, they'd say, "holy frick, look at all this new money we can spend on entitlements!!!"

Yes, let's. How about let's be nasty about all the wasteful spending on stuff without a Constitutional mandate first? If we did that, we could afford to outspend our nearest competitors for defense spending, and still take a 25% tax break

It takes serious mental gymnastics to believe that our military is in line with its constitutional purpose

Start by getting rid of the army.

The defense budget is not the main piece of the budget problem. Anybody who can read a pie chart can see that.

Name one thing about today's federal government that is in line with it's Constitutional mandate. You and I both know there are none.

The problem is the trillions upon trillions spent, where a Constitutional mandate does not exist at all. If we're going to get all shitty about wasting money, and I absolutely agree that we should, why not start where the Constitution does not grant the federal government the power to spend a fricking nickel!
