That's one thing that she has never been able to really do within the Democratic Party. She and her allies tried that in 2007-2008 and the mainstream media completely shut them down. Nearly all of the negative stories about Obama in that time came from her campaign in some form or fashion. But, the media just ignored them or called them out on negative or racist campaigning (MSNBC mentioned this more than once).

Well the ny times had this headline:
