Alarming Speech by State Rep in VA

Although I am female, the issue of abortion has never swayed my vote. I think abortion is morally wrong and I cannot think of any instance where I would have one. Even if my own life were at stake or I was raped. Just can’t. I don’t think it’s a fundamental right of mine to kill my unborn child. The whole suggestion is ludicrous, and borderline offensive to me on its face especially as someone who never got to have babies of her own.

From my standpoint, I’m not sure whether it should be outright banned but I do believe the practice should be limited in practice by duration of pregnancy, and a doctor’s prescription. There are times where taking a life is justified (ex. Self Defense). So there are times where I guess I can see as a legal matter allowing the practice. I just cannot see why abortion would be permitted by a society to unfettered to the point where requiring health standards for where it’s performed are somehow unconstitutional. That baby, even in the womb has rights. Plus, I’m sorry. Aborting a baby is traumatic to the mother. I know only 2 people who have had them, and I can honestly say they were never the same since. I can’t reason anyway around not having some limitations on the practice for the good of everyone involved.

So in this day and age what the hell is going on with this trend of states legalizing abortion in the 3rd Trimester up until the point of actual birth? I cannot Wrap my brain around what societal benefit we get out of condoning or allowing this practice.

This video makes me want to puke. It’s short, and basically exemplifies everything wrong with a practice that these people are trying to legalize. To the pro abortion people on here I have these questions about 3rd Trimester abortions specifically that this video made
me ask myself, and I’m hoping someone can enlighten me about:

1) why this sudden desire to legalize and celebrate an abortion occurring when a woman that is 9 MOs pregnant? Is there some pressing medical need I don’t know about.

2) what is the moral justification in your mind or heart that allows you to cheer for an abortion of a baby that could just as easily exit the birth canal?

3) Is a birth defect or disability of an unborn child as identified in utero sufficient justification for you? (OMG for your sake I hope not. But if so, in addition for praying for your mortal soul- what specifically are these disabilities and how do you know for sure that the baby will have them)?

4) What specific life threatening medical conditions to the mother that we know about in advance are resolved by abortion instead of early delivery by cesarean or other means?

5) Who the hell is this “woman” who is advocating a law that would allow her to abort her unborn baby as she is dialating and about to deliver. And please tell me she’s on the pill or otherwise sterile.

It’s a supply and demand issue. They have won on the major social issues the past 40 years and now they are spinning their wheels in frustration so they are going back to the well. It’s like their fake hate crime bullshite. They want to relive their glory days but they don’t know how.

There isn't a sudden desire to do this.

Despite all the histrionics over this, and despite the fact that the US is an extreme left-wing outlier on the issue of abortions, there are very few truly late term abortions in this country.

It's just another step along the way to mass exterminations of the right. If you can tolerate 3rd trimester abortions, then you're numb to killing a fully grown person.

Well, it starts with the argument that we don't replace our workers like we used to. American families are no longer having 4 or 5 kids. In order to keep stating that America needs workers from other countries(to do the jobs that Americans just won't do), you have to keep killing off the coming generation(s) so that your arguments have weight. If the future generations aren't being killed off, there is no need for the poor, oppressed hordes from other countries(nevermind the fact that these poor people send a shitload of $$ back to the country they just "fled" from).

That's the way the left works. Just a constant erosion of morality.

It's very simple: the dems are the party of death. If they can't kill babies in the womb, they're just as happy to have them killed in "gun fee" school zones. You'll REALLY see their death culture come into full bloom the next time they hold all three branches of US govt.

Um. Yes there is. New York just LEGALIZED the practice last week and lit up the city pink like this was some great victory for women. This implies that it was formerly ILLEGAL in NY.

further apparently this “woman” legislator is trying to legalize the practice up until dilation. She said it. On video.

Seriously. Why at this specific moment in time?

IDK

I've read where less than half of pregnant mothers get abortions and out them 88% get them in the first 8 weeks.

So, it seems that we are creating a service that hardly any women really want.

Seems like all political theater to me.

The NY law has been sensationalized beyond belief. It's main impact was to move the statute from the criminal code.

Yep. It's like focusing on school shootings to talk about gun control. Big headlines, but super rare compared to all gun-related deaths.

They have lost the Supreme Court and are now trying to get ahead of the game before it is ruled illegal. They will then utilize states rights as their argument.

I wonder what percentage of states have it legal to do after the first trimester?

And wow. That’s 12 percent of a 500k to 1 million abortions per year. Minimum 50,000 babies?

Yeah, so let's legalize murder of babies anyway, right?

Yes, but that's not "late term".
