Why should we be in a hurry to end the war(in the current mode)

Not to discount those who have already laid down their lives, why the big hurry to declare the war is over.
There really no need to bomb further or send in boots. American military are likely safer than if they were walking around Chicago at night. With the blockade/siege time is now the greatest weapon. Why not wait it out?

I think time is generally on our side.
But if the kinetic strikes aren't done, and there needs to be another round to finish the job, then I would think too much time may allow Iran to regroup and unearth some of their hidden hardware and cause even more Havoc in the region once the action resumes.
I think the urgency is more for Iran's neighbors and Israel, than the US.

Getting the uranium from Fordow and the other sites to prove that it came from what was sold by the Hussein administration in the Uranium One deal is a major item on the To Do list.
